Where to see ‘The Hobbit’ in 3D in the OC

“The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” opens Friday. The following Orange County theaters will be showing the movie in 3D at 48 frames per second:

•Orange 30 with IMAX & ETX (92868)

•Irvine Spectrum 21 + IMAX & RPX (92618)

•Huntington Beach Bella Terra 20 + XD (92647)

•Aliso Viejo Stadium 20 with IMAX (92656)

•Brea Stadium 22 (92821)

•Orange Stadium Promenade 25 + XD (92867)

•Foothill Towne Center 22 in Foothill Ranch (92610)

•Cinepolis Ranch Santa Margarita 6 (92688)

Tip: When browsing show times, look for “HFR 3D,” which stands for high frame rate, to make sure you are seeing the enhanced 3D experience.
