Earth Wind and Fire Concert and sights at the Orange County Fair 2012
We went to see Earth Wind and Fire at the OC Fair on Saturday night. It was a great concert. That Phillip Bailey still has great pipes after all these years.
Here is a short video from the concert, as well as some pictures from the fair and exhibits.

The Walking Dead Escape
Although I did not get to go to COMIC-CON this year, (I was a bit late to get tickets) I did decide that I was going to go down there anyway and get to see the sights. We ended up getting tickets to The Walking Dead Escape as spectators. For $15 we were able to watch the activities as “survivors” had to run from Zombies at through an obstacle course at PETCO Park, walking distance from the COMIC-CON activities at the Convention Center. It was a good fair alternative to Comic-Con. The $15 dollar ticket allowed us to witness the obstacle course from several points but we didn’t get to see everything as there were corridors and tunnels that the survivors went through that we did not have access to. Here are a few pics from the ESCAPE. For a look at the complete set, please feel free to see my Flickr page: WALKING DEAD ESCAPE

Anime Expo 2012
Last Saturday I had the pleasure of attending ANIME EXPO at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Since I was not able to get tickets to COMIC-CON next weekend, I figured this would be a great alternative to at least get some great pictures of costumes and great artists and their work. I was not disappointed. It was complete sensory overload, and I had my work cut out for me with tons of pictures to edit. A week later, I as able to complete this mission and whittled it down to the best 339 pictures. YIKES!!! I have to admit, I am really not familiar with the majority of the characters I took pictures of, but if I go back next year, I will make it a mission to be a little more familiar with the ANIME world. I will not overwhelm you with the entire set, but it is available to see on my flickr account here: ANIME EXPO
Here are just a few of my favorite shots from the EXPO.
Cars Land, California Adventure

On Sunday, June 17th we decided to ignore 90 degree weather and expected large crowds, to see one of the most anticipated Disney new attractions in quite some time, Cars Land and Radiator Springs at Disney’s California Adventure. Were the lines long? Yes they were. Did you get any fast passes? No, we got there around 3 PM on Father’s Day. All of the Fast Passes were sold out by 10 am. Yes, 10 am. So…a bit of advice if you are planning to visit Cars Land any time this summer. Get there early so you can get some fast passes. Get the park hopper pass so you can go into Disneyland and spend most of the day there and go back when your first fast pass is coming up. If you don’t get a fast pass, most of the rides are going to take you 1-3 hours…yes HOURS in line. If you dare to brave the wait, make sure you bring a book, iPad, Smart Phone, yo-yo, Slinky, Rubik’s Cube, or any other thing that could help you pass the time. Or take this opportunity to unplug and actually talk to the person you are with like in the days before smart phones. Don’t be afraid to connect with human people! 😉
Enough about that, so, how is Cars Land? Its pretty impressive, you are really immersed in Radiator Springs. The imagineers at Disney/Pixar really are some of the most creative, intelligent, detail oriented minds in the world. They are truly the best of the best. This place is pretty awesome and I didn’t even get to go on ANY of the rides. I hope you do. Here are some of the images I took during our visit. Enjoy, and if you like, share/comment!
